This sweet condensed milk bread is soft, buttery, and slightly sweet—perfect for toast, gifting, or an afternoon treat. No mixer needed!


Ingredients

Scale

3 cups all-purpose flour
¼ cup sugar
1 packet (2¼ tsp) active dry yeast
½ cup warm water
½ cup sweetened condensed milk
¼ cup whole milk
¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
½ tsp salt
1 egg (optional)


Instructions

  • Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.

  • Add condensed milk, milk, butter, salt, and egg. Mix well.

  • Gradually stir in flour to form a soft dough.

  • Knead 8–10 minutes until smooth.

  • Let rise 1–1.5 hours until doubled.

  • Punch down, shape into loaf, and rise 30–45 minutes.

  • Bake at 350°F for 30–35 minutes.

  • Cool before slicing.

Notes

Use egg for a richer dough or shiny crust. Brush with butter after baking for extra softness. Freezes well sliced.
