This fresh orange cake is moist, fluffy, and full of bright citrus flavor. A simple and satisfying bake that comes together in 45 minutes using real orange juice and zest.
Ingredients
1 ½ cups flour, 1 ½ tsp baking powder, ¼ tsp salt, 1 cup sugar, ½ cup butter, 2 eggs, ½ cup orange juice, ¼ cup milk, 1 tbsp zest, 1 tsp vanilla
Instructions
Preheat oven to 175°C. Mix flour, baking powder, salt. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, and zest. Add juice and milk alternately with dry mix. Pour into pan and bake 30–35 mins. Cool and glaze or dust with sugar.
Notes
Use fresh orange juice for best flavor. Add poppy seeds or almond extract for variation. Store well in fridge or freezer.
