Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk

 

  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf or cake pan
  • Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt
  • Beat butter and sugar until fluffy, then add eggs and vanilla
  • Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk
  • Divide batter, mix cocoa powder into half
  • Layer batters in pan, swirl with a knife

 

  • Bake for 40-45 minutes, then cool before serving
