This easy recipe is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser, perfect for potlucks, holidays, or whenever you’re craving something extra special!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Brownie Layer:

  • 1 box (18.3 oz) brownie mix (plus ingredients listed on the box)
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)

For the Cheesecake Layer:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Toffee Topping:

  • ¾ cup Heath toffee bits
  • ¼ cup mini chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease it well.
  • Prepare the brownie batter according to the package instructions. Stir in ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips if using. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the cheesecake mixture over the brownie batter. Use a knife or skewer to gently swirl the layers together.
  • Sprinkle Heath toffee bits and mini chocolate chips over the top.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the cheesecake layer is set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  • Let the brownies cool for 30 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For best results, use room temperature cream cheese to ensure a smooth cheesecake layer.
  • Don’t over-swirl the cheesecake into the brownies—distinct layers create a beautiful marbled effect.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
  • For an extra indulgence, serve with vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce.
