Description

A moist, fluffy banana cake made with almond flour, naturally sweetened with honey, and dotted with rich dark chocolate chips. It’s gluten-free, refined sugar-free, and unbelievably satisfying—perfect for a healthy dessert or snack!


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed

  • 3 large eggs

  • 2 cups almond flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ¼ cup honey

  • A pinch of salt

  • ¼ cup dark chocolate chips


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch cake pan or line with parchment.

  • In a bowl, mash bananas. Add eggs, honey, and vanilla; whisk until smooth.

  • In another bowl, mix almond flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

  • Combine wet and dry ingredients just until mixed.

  • Fold in chocolate chips.

  • Pour into the pan. Bake for 35–40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.

  • Cool for 10 minutes in pan, then transfer to a rack. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use extra ripe bananas for maximum natural sweetness.

  • You can swap honey for maple syrup for a vegan-friendly version (if using flax eggs too).

  • Add chopped nuts for a crunch or a sprinkle of sea salt on top before baking for extra flair.
