Description

These Cornmeal Biscuits are soft, golden, and buttery with a subtle corn flavor and fluffy interior—perfect for breakfast or dinner.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup white flour

  • ½ cup whole wheat flour

  • ½ cup yellow cornmeal

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 2½ tsp baking powder

  • ¾ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp baking soda

  • 5 tbsp chilled butter

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 cup plain low-fat or nonfat yogurt


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Mix dry ingredients.

  • Cut in cold butter until crumbly.

  • Stir in egg and yogurt until dough forms.

  • Pat and cut into rounds.

  • Bake 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
