Description

This Cheesy Beef and Bowtie Pasta in Garlic Butter is the ultimate comfort food! Tender bowtie pasta is tossed with savory ground beef, a rich and creamy garlic butter sauce, and plenty of gooey melted cheese. It’s a quick and easy one-pan meal perfect for busy weeknights or whenever you’re craving something hearty and delicious.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the bowtie pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain excess grease.
  • Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the skillet and let it melt. Stir in the minced garlic, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and black pepper. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in the heavy cream and let it cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Lower the heat and stir in the shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat everything in the cheesy garlic butter sauce.
  • Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Pasta Substitutions: Penne, rotini, or any short pasta works well.
  • Protein Swap: Ground turkey or chicken can be used instead of beef.
  • Vegetable Additions: Try adding spinach, mushrooms, or bell peppers for extra nutrients.
  • Make It Spicier: Increase red pepper flakes or add a splash of hot sauce.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently with a splash of broth or cream to loosen the sauce.
