Description

Fluffy, fast, and irresistibly good, these 5-Minute Scones are made with almond extract and finished with a zesty lemon glaze—perfect for brunch or tea time.

  • 2¾ cups all-purpose flour

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tbsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1⅔ cups heavy cream

  • 2 tsp almond extract

Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 12 tbsp milk

  • ¾ tsp lemon extract

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 3 tbsp sliced almonds


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Line baking sheet.

  • Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, salt.

  • Stir in cream and almond extract until dough forms.

  • Shape into a circle, cut into 8 wedges or scoop rounds.

  • Bake 18–20 min until golden.

  • Mix glaze ingredients. Drizzle over warm scones. Top with almonds

Notes

Do not overmix dough. Add-ins like berries or chocolate chips are optional. Best served warm.
