Ingredients
2 cups plain flour
1 cup butter, room temperature
1/2 cup icing sugar
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet.
2. Cream butter and icing sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Add flour and mix until just combined.
4. Scoop dough into balls and flatten slightly.
5. Bake for 12–15 minutes until edges are just golden.
6. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
Ensure butter is fully softened.
Use sifted icing sugar for smooth texture.
Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
